According to the "Announcement of Shanghai Market Supervision Administration on Matters related to the Adjustment of Alcohol operation License" (Shanghai Stock Market Supervision Standard (2023) No. 7) requirements, from July 10, 2023, the city’s alcohol operation license will be integrated into the scope of food operation license, and the Wholesale License of Alcohol Commodities and Retail License of Alcohol commodities will no longer be issued separately. Whoever engages in alcoholic drink business in Shanghai shall, when applying for the food operation license, apply for the corresponding alcoholic commodity category. 

Q1: How do I apply for a liquor program?

A1: In the new version of the application for food operation License, the matter of "alcohol business" has been added, and those engaged in alcohol business shall fill in the variety of alcohol commodities in the collection of matters. 

Q2: I have already applied for the Liquor Wholesale License or the Liquor Retail License, can I still use it?

A2: The existing Wholesale License of Alcoholic Commodities and Retail License of Alcoholic Commodities shall continue to be valid within the validity period and can be changed. Those exceeding the validity period shall be integrated into the food business license.
